Description

he APS-RTx PowerLine Flex PL31 FL 10.0k HC provides continuous, conditioned power for critical equipment that cannot tolerate interruptions, voltage fluctuations, frequency instability or poor power quality.

Using online double-conversion technology, connected equipment is continuously powered through the UPS inverter, providing zero transfer time between utility and battery operation.

With a full 10kVA / 10kW output capacity and 1.0 power factor, the UPS can deliver its full rated apparent power as usable active power, making it well suited to modern servers, networking systems and other high-density electronic loads.

The three-phase input and single-phase output configuration allows the UPS to draw power across a three-phase supply while delivering a stable 220/230/240VAC single-phase output to the protected load.

Its rack/tower convertible 3U design provides flexibility for installation in server racks, communications racks, equipment rooms or as a standalone floor-mounted system.

For applications requiring increased capacity or redundancy, multiple units can be operated in parallel. This makes the PL31 FL 10.0k HC suitable for systems where future expansion or N+X redundancy is required.

As a long-run UPS, the unit does not contain internal batteries. External battery banks can therefore be selected according to the required backup duration, allowing significantly longer runtimes than standard internal-battery UPS systems.

USB, RS232 and the intelligent communication slot provide options for UPS monitoring, remote management and integration with network or building-management systems.

Long-Run Battery Configuration

The PL31 FL 10.0k HC does not include internal batteries.

This allows the UPS battery system to be engineered according to the required backup duration.

External battery banks can therefore be configured for applications requiring:

  • Short-duration shutdown protection
  • 30-minute backup
  • 1-hour backup
  • Multi-hour backup
  • Extended generator-start support
  • Critical-load continuity during prolonged outages

For operation at the full 10kVA / 10kW PF1.0 rating, a 20 × 12V battery configuration per string is recommended.

Additional parallel battery strings may be added where greater runtime is required, subject to correct battery-bank design, protection and charging requirements.
